From Sea to Wetlands: Digital Tools for Citizen Science and Monitoring

In this session, the focus will turn to how digital tools empower communities to take part in marine and freshwater conservation. The EFFECTIVE project will present COSEA, a platform that turns coastal observations into valuable data for scientists and policymakers, while Restore4Life will share applications that engage citizens in wetland restoration – from Wetland4Life, which supports ecosystem health assessments, to Solution4Life, which guides restoration planning.
The session will open with an introduction by Valerie de Liedekerke (BlueMissionAA / AIR Centre) and moderation by Oriane Georges (F6S), before moving on to project presentations from:
- EFFECTIVE – Philipp Hummer, Founder of SPOTTERON App platform
- Restore4Life – Tim Grandjean, Environmental Scientist, Archipelagos – Institute of Marine Conservation
