F6S at European Ocean Days: showcasing Blue Economy innovation

F6S is excited to announce that several of its EU-funded projects will be featured at the European Ocean Days in Brussels from 3 – 7 March 2025. The attending projects support the EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters and are part of F6S’ newly established Blue Economy synergy, which fosters clean waters and ocean restoration and sustainability through smart innovation and sustainable growth.

The European Ocean Days is a week-long event featuring dynamic and interconnected sessions on key maritime topics. Each day will spotlight themes such as the sustainable blue economy, fisheries science, ocean restoration, and blue investments, showcasing Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters actions and hosting discussion forums and dialogues with policymakers, scientists, investors, including youth. An ocean-themed art exhibition will also run throughout the week, blending science and creativity to inspire marine conservation.

Furthermore, this year’s edition of the European Ocean Days will serve as a key step and the discussion platform in the preparation of the European Ocean Pact, a reference framework for all EU ocean-related policies.

Meet our Blue Economy projects

Throughout the event, we will be showcasing several of our EU Mission Ocean and Waters-funded projects as part of the Mission Ocean and Waters 3rd Annual Forum:

  • Restore4life: Restoring wetlands for a sustainable future
  • SUNDANSE: Sustainable sediment solutions for Danube – Black Sea system
  • Remedies: Mediterranean Sea basin lighthouse
  • iMermaid: Safeguarding the Mediterranean Sea from contaminants of emerging concern (CoEC)
  • DALIA: Innovative Freshwater solutions

Connect with us: Visit the Danube Lighthouse booth in the exhibition area, where Restore4life, SUNDANSE and Dalia will be represented.

The F6S team representing Restore4life, SUNDANSE, Remedies, iMermaid and I3-4-SEAWEED projects will also participate in BlueInvest Day (5-6 March), which focuses on the economic pillar of ocean sustainability. BlueInvest Day will showcase successful and high-potential investment initiatives within the Blue Economy, aiming to catalyse innovation and investment. Participants will engage in keynote speeches, panels, pitch sessions, and networking opportunities, promoting sustainability and transformative impact across industries.
