F6S introduces Greentech projects: Empowering Europe’s Green Transition

F6S introduces Greentech projects

The Greentech synergy is a collaborative initiative between over 20 EU-funded projects under the shared mission of advancing the EU Green Deal objectives. We create value by fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange, and effective stakeholder engagement to address critical climate and environmental challenges.

Leveraged by the expertise of F6S’ Communication and Project Managers, the Greentech synergy aims to maximise the impact of project results and foster strong partnerships to enhance climate resilience, sustainable manufacturing, digital inclusion, and the circular economy, among other key areas. Participating projects include:

Environment:

  • CLIMOS: Explores climate-health impacts using sand fly-borne diseases to improve preparedness and resilience to environmental changes.
  • PLANET4HEALTH: Tackles environmental health challenges through interdisciplinary research and tools to guide policy and awareness.
  • REGILIENCE: Aims at sharing the most promising cross-sectoral adaptation solutions, supporting cities and regions across Europe to become more resilient to climate change.

Rural Development:

  • RURACTIVE: Builds rural innovation ecosystems to empower vulnerable groups and foster digital connectivity. Open call for funding.
  • EcoScape: Promotes farmland biodiversity through education, awareness, and sustainable farming tools.
  • SESA: Mitigate climate change and avoid lock-in situations while improving access to sustainable energy under affordable and reliable conditions. Their solutions aim to provide energy services to rural and urban communities and create easily replicable business opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
  • SUSRUR: Their open calls support SMEs from the following 5 rural & remote areas of Europe: Asturias (Spain); Western Macedonia (Greece); Harghita (Romania); Utena (Lithuania); Steirisches Vulkanland (Austria). Open call for funding.

Agriculture & Food:

  • Nostradamus: Develops a real-time agricultural data platform leveraging IoT and satellite technology to optimize farming sustainability and efficiency.
  • INNO4CFIs: Combines reforestation and carbon farming initiatives with biodiversity and water security to achieve environmental co-benefits. Open call for funding.
  • ZeroW: Aims to prevent and reduce food waste and enhance the sustainability of food supply chains. ZeroW will carry out the demonstration in nine real-life food chains, employing a systemic innovation approach to effectively address the multidimensional issue of food waste.
  • FOODITY: Focuses on leveraging personal data and digital technologies to create more sustainable and transparent food systems. Through its two Open Calls, FOODITY supports several startups dealing with zero food waste, and in scaling their innovative ideas.

Manufacturing and Industry:

  • SNUG: Redefines sustainable construction by advancing eco-friendly insulation materials and strategies.
  • SoTecIn Factory: Promotes low-carbon, circular value chains and fosters social innovation in manufacturing. Open call for funding.
  • SITOLUBAims to transform the landscape of lubricant engineering by ensuring safety, functionality, and sustainability.
  • CIRPASS-2: Aims to demonstrate functioning Digital Product Passports in real settings through circular pilot deployments and use cases in textiles, electrical and electronic equipment, tyres and construction value chains.
  • NICKEFFECT: Aims to develop novel ferromagnetic Nickle-based coating materials to replace the scarce and costly Platinum and ensure high efficiency in energy & digital storage applications.
  • CLEANHYPRO: Develops a sustainable Open Innovation Test Bed for Clean Hydrogen Productions, scaling up circular innovative materials and components for electrolysis. Open call for funding.
  • CIRCULOOS: Helps micro, small and medium-sized production companies redefine their supply chains through Circular Economy.  New digital tools and models of circular supply chains are built on existing collaborations of commercial entities through the project’s Pilots and Open Calls.
  • SeeBridge: Aims to strengthen the capacity of the social economy, small SMEs operating in energy-intensive industries such as aluminium, steel, iron and others to transition to more resource efficient and energy saving processes through Open Calls.
  • STREAMS: Aims to fortify Europe’s battery materials supply chain, reducing dependency on imports and strengthening resilience in the global battery manufacturing industry.
  • ROB4GREEN: Aims to develop and deploy AI-driven collaborative robotic systems that are easy to use, adapt, and reason autonomously to process products after their first life.
  • HyLiST: Is developing Generation 4b all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and aeronautics, focusing on high energy, fast charging, durability, and safety. It aims to create sustainable, low-cost batteries using eco-friendly processes, featuring hybrid solid electrolytes, a cobalt-free cathode (LNMO), and a high-energy lithium metal (LiM) anode.

The Greentech synergy welcomes external stakeholders, researchers, and policymakers to engage with us in events, webinars, workshops, to share project results or potential proposals. New collaborations are continuously encouraged.
