We are excited to announce the launch of STREP, an EU-funded project set to revolutionise Europe’s textile sector by making circularity smart, scalable, and sustainable.
The kick-off meeting was held on April 29–30, 2025, at the Library of Aalborg University in Denmark, bringing together all 14 partners to align on goals for textile innovation. Coordinated by Aalborg University, STREP will run for 36 months and aims to create a fully closed-loop system where 100% of yarn is made from post-consumer textile waste—powered by smart sorting, AI-driven automation, and next-generation recycling technologies.
